I remember my father telling a story about going around Manhattan with his mother as a child in the early 1930's and have in mind a story about someone coming to visit them in the projects where the feature of the tale was someone calling his mothers Name (which you have to imagine the then Older Louie doing with his hand cupped next to his mouth calling Loretta...Lorettaaa...) loudly as they walked through the projects in lower Manhattan Now I know where that was... 17 minute walk from 137 Cherry St the home of Luigi the Chauffeur or 15 minutes from To the Church on Baxter St where the idea of Little louie danced in the heads of Loretta and Luigi... the 19th of February in 1917 Fast forward ten years and The front page of the NYT misses the story about the birth of little Louie it catches the story about Radio Television a week or so later below the fold https://timesmachine.ny...
